He's the god of travelers, messangers, thieves,gamblers,literature and poets, athletics, of weights and measures, of invention, of general commerce, and of the cunning of thieves and liars. He can also be extremely arrogant and decietful, most of the time you can't believe what he says, so it's really hard to know if he's telling the truth History until they come (thorough because we don't know all fandoms!): In Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Hermes has already done what mythology tells you. He runs a messaging and delivery system from Olympus. In The Sea of Monsters, He is a significant character in the second book where he helps Percy by giving him a flask full of air, backpacks and his special multi-vitamins hoping that he will be able to rescue his son Luke who had joined the Titans.He finds out that his son, Luke has betrayed him and the other Gods by joining Kronos, the father of the gods and a Titan that was cut into a million pieces by Zeus,Posidon, and Hades, then thrown into Tartarus.He tells Percy to tell his son that he still cares for him as a son, but Luke doesn't believe him. In the Last Olympian Hermes get's bitter about Luke, and Annabeth angers him. Powers: Hermes phone is his caduceus, his two snakes Martha and George who argue incessantly. He has powers over certain things, and can use them to his advantage. OffSpring: Luke,and a whole cabin full of kids in Camp Half-Blood, although he has too much going on to take much notice of them, Hermes still cares for them as a father should Appearance: Hermes is portrayed as a young man, with winged sandals, and carries a winged caduceus entwined by serpents, or a kerykeion topped with a symbol similar to the astrological symbol of Taurus the bull. He usually wears clothes similar to a traveler or a shepherd, and wears a travelers hat.
